Directly Managing Lexington Massachusetts

Meet Dominique meier

Dominique Meier joined the founding leadership team of ReadySetPlaySports and serves as Founding Director of its Massachusetts chapter, a nonprofit that collects, refurbishes, and redistributes youth sports equipment to families who can't afford it. Having played club soccer in Germany before moving into a varsity program in the United States and later captaining his team, he saw firsthand how unevenly access to sports is distributed, not only across countries, but across families in the same town, depending on whether a pair of cleats or a registration fee was within reach.

Dominique is now building the Massachusetts chapter's collection and distribution process largely from scratch, drawing on the same instinct for building and running things that shaped his years on the soccer field. He played for four years, competing in club soccer in Germany as a freshman and sophomore, earning NEPSAC Honorable Mention on varsity as a junior in the United States, and serving as team captain his senior year.

That drive extends well beyond athletics. Dominique founded and leads his school's Finance Club, which he took to the Wharton Investment Competition, and he qualified for DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC). He gained early exposure to the financial sector through an internship at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and a part-time role at Raiffeisen in Mettingen, Germany, and he spent a summer in the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Leadership in the Business World program - one of the most competitive high school business programs in the country - studying entrepreneurship and business strategy. He also serves on his school's Student Council.

Looking ahead, Dominique plans to keep growing ReadySetPlaySports' presence across Massachusetts while pursuing his interest in finance and business. Whatever he builds next, the goal behind it stays the same one that drew him to the chapter: creating access to opportunities that others wouldn't otherwise have.
